State Treasurer Joe Torsella on Monday joined with local government officials in the Commonwealth to host a press conference on the innovative energy savings program that provides legal and technical assistance, as well as low-cost capital for energy improvement projects by municipalities, universities, schools, and hospitals.

“Most Pennsylvanians have a couple of basic, simple expectations when it comes to what they’re looking for from their government. They want a government that works and solves problems. They want a government that uses and stewards tax dollars more wisely. They want their environment protected. And, they believe correctly that those goals are not in opposition to each other but in fact are congruent with each other. I am proud to say the regional Street Light Procurement Program does all that and more,” said Torsella.
