Senator John Eichelberger Jr. is holding his annual A.B. Ross Leadership Program on Thursday. Select 7th through 12th grade students from 4H Clubs in the region will be gathering at B&D Acres in Tyrone.

The day-long program begins tomorrow morning around 9:30am. This year’s featured theme is “Agricultural Income Opportunities.” The goal is to educate all students about value added in other opportunities that could provide additional revenue streams for farmers.

The morning session will feature experts leading a series of short workshops that include visual and hands-on demonstrations. After lunch, the students will be taking a field trip to The Maple Kroft Farm in Tyrone Township for a “real world experience.” The afternoon will wrap up with a town hall discussion with Senator Eichelberger.
