Pennsylvania Physician General Doctor Rachel Levine commended a state EMS on Friday for their active role in providing training for and using Naloxone, a life saving overdose reversal drug.
“I would like to thank the South Central EMS and really all EMS providers, and all of our first responders, the police, the fire fighters, for the life saving work that they do. I think the bottom line is: we have to remember that this is a medical condition and that treatment works. Recovery is possible. We have to offer hope to our patients, to their families, and to our communities. Working altogether, we can overcome this crisis,” said Levine.
