Motorcycles were involved in a number of serious or fatal crashes over the weekend. Police say 23 year old William Heininger of Altoona , died in a motorcycle-vehicle collision Saturday morning. 56 year old Jeffrey Miller and 55 year old Lori Miller died when their motorcycle was involved in a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Woodbury Pike and Erb Road. State Police say an investigation into that crash is ongoing. The other driver’s name has not been released. 65 year old Thomas Kenney of Homer City, lost control of his car on Route 286, crossed the center line, and slammed into a motorcycle carrying 46 year old Raymond Stumpf and his wife, 44 year old Shannon Stumpf of Aultman. Both men died at the scene of that crash. Shannon Stumpf later died at Forbes Regional Hospital. An investigation is underway today. And state police say 59 year old Roberto Fontanez of Myerstown was traveling west on State Route 56 in West St. Clair Township when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson while negotiating a curve. He slammed into the guardrail. Fontanez, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle over the guardrail. As of Sunday evening, he was reported to be in fair condition at UPMC Altoona.
