Eric Frein is officially convicted. The eastern Pennsylvania man has been convicted of capital murder in the ambush slaying of a Pennsylvania State trooper. The jury heard compelling testimony against Frein from the trooper left with critical injuries from that attack.
We are told now, thanks to KYWTV reporter Joe Holden, that throughout the trial, the bloody uniform of the late trooper Corporal Brian Dixon, was on display. The jury from Chester County deliberated for a quick four hours, concluding it was Eric Frein who ambushed the state police at Blooming Grove in September of 2014, killing Dixon and critically injuring trooper Alex Douglas.
He then lead state police through what was believed to be a mine field of traps. That lasted 7 weeks. This dramatic game of fugitive from justice came to an end when police discovered him in an airport hanger.
