Your hometown Altoona Curve will be celebrating Independence Day the right way, as they begin their holiday homestand weekend of great fun and great baseball tonight at Peoples Natural Gas Field!
Tonight’s matchup features two great events at PNG Field that you won’t want to miss. First, it’s only appropriate that the Curve kick the weekend celebrations off with a #ThrowbackThursday! The Curve will be donning their original 1999 throwback uniforms as they take on the Bowie Baysox in the first game of the weekend series. Tonight will also be Law Enforcement Night, as the Curve recognizes the sacrifices made by those who protect and serve every day and night. Food specials include $1 Juniata hot dogs, $2 16oz Miller Lites, and $2 22oz sodas! The weekend-long party gets kicked off in Curve, PA at 7:00 p.m.!
If you can’t make it Thursday, don’t you worry! The celebrations continue Friday night with The Curve’s ‘A Salute To Our Military.’ The Curve appreciates the sacrifices made by these brave service members every day, and will hold a special salute to all of those who serve and have served our great country before the game. Also, the first 1,000 fans will receive local veterans trading cards presented by Martins Foods! Game starts at 7:00 p.m.!
On Saturday night, the Curve will continue their series against the Baysox with ‘Team USA Night.’ The Games of the 31st Olympiad, or 2016 Summer Olympics, start August 5th, so in preparation, The Curve is celebrating Team USA in their quest to bring home the gold with their famous fireworks show above the skies of Altoona following the game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.!
With the Curve playing out of town on July 4th, their Sunday matchup with the Baysox will be concluded with a huge Independence Day Fireworks Show presented by The Pennsylvania Lottery. Also available on Sunday are individual picnic-area tickets where there will be an All-You-Can-Eat buffet available for 2 hours in the field-level seats that double as a great view for the fireworks! Call now to reserve yours. Game starts at 7:00 p.m.!
It’s looking to be a beautiful Fourth of July weekend in Blair County! Why not spend it in Curve, PA?
