(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indianapolis Colts plan to fire head coach Chuck Pagano, if the team doesn’t earn a highly unlikely playoff berth, ESPN reports.
In order to make the playoffs, the Colts would have to win their final regular season game on Sunday, and get help in a series of other games. Here are the outcome the Colts would need, in addition to their own win, to make the postseason.
Atlanta Falcons beat New Orleans Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers beat or tie with Cleveland Browns*
Buffalo Bills beat New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars beat Houston Texans
Baltimore Ravens beat Cincinnati Bengals
Miami Dolphins beat New England Patriots
Denver Broncos beat San Diego Chargers
Oakland Raiders beat or tie with Kansas City Chiefs*
*If both games end tied, the Colts would be eliminated
The Colts appeared in the AFC Championship Game last season, but are 7-8 and in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time under Pagano.
The Colts released a statement on Thursday saying that “no decision has been made with respect to any structural changes within the Colts organization for 2016 and beyond.”
