The Pittsburgh Penguins used a three-goal second period to down the Devils 4-2 at New Jersey.
The Penguins surged ahead 3-2 when Erik Christensen and Ryan Malone scored 1:32 apart late in the second period. Christensen also set up Jordan Staal's goal earlier in the period.
The Devils took a 2-1 lead in the middle period on Mike Rupp's second goal of the game. Rupp had gone 35 games without a point.
Malone had two goals and Ty Conklin handled 23 shots as the Pens defeated the Devils for the fifth straight time in New Jersey.
The Devils have dropped four of their last six.
