Burglary Suspect Nabbed In Altoona

An Altoona man is going to jail after confessing to a couple overnight burglaries in the city.

Altoona Police tell WRTA news that while responding to a burglary call on the 100 block of North 8th Avenue just before 12:30 they received a second burglary call a couple blocks away on North 10th Avenue.

When they encountered the suspect, 34-year-old Francis Lego of 209 9th Street, he fled on foot only to be apprehended a short time later.

Lego is facing various charges including Burglary, Theft and resisting arrest. There was also a state parole retainer out on him.
