Logan Township is looking to tighten its blighted property ordinance.

The board of supervisors asked the township’s planning commission to take up the issue during a meeting Thursday night. Supervisor Frank Meloy says after fielding several complaints from residents in Lakemont and other parts of the township -- now was a good time to address the problem again.

Meloy says the township is currently dealing with a few property owners under the terms of the current ordinance, which addresses abandoned cars, height of grass and issues dealing with litter and garbage.
