The Blair County Commissioners are considering a proposal to create a safe haven for juveniles called to testify in court.
The board will decide next week on whether to spend $3-thousand on the project, which will be funded by grant money. Commissioner Donna Gority says the county has yet to select the official space for the project, but she says the room will be made child-friendly in an effort to help reduce their anxiety.
Gority says the children witnesses will also be able to avoid criminal witnesses waiting outside a courtroom.
