The Logan Township supervisors say they should be moved into their new municipal complex by next summer.

Township supervisors awarded $5.3-million in building contracts Thursday night, paving the way for construction work to begin. The 20,000 square foot building will sit on an 11.5 acre tract of land located off Michelle Drive. Ralph J. Albarano and Sons will oversee the project, while Lawruk Builders will take on the physical construction.

Township manager Bonnie Lewis says so far the project is under the original proposed cost of nearly $8-million.

The supervisors are not raising taxes to pay for the complex. They are covering the costs through a bond issue, which will be paid for through returns on invested money.
