FAIR PLAY

Our government gives "BIg Oil" tax breaks and what happens? Big oil takes advantage of the tax breaks but doesn't give us a break in return. They are not satisfied with most of the money in the World, they want all the money in the world. Greed. Pure unadulterated greed.

So "Big Oil" quits playing fair and rips us off with high gasoline and diesel fuel prices. So now it is time for our government to quit playing fair and fight back. Our government must impose a price cap on gasoline and diesel fuel.

1. Impose a cap of $2.75 per gallon. Keep the gas cap at $2.75 for 3 months. If after 3 months, the oil companies have not lowered prices to $2.75, voluntarily, fine them $10,000,000 each company and drop the gas cap to $2.50 per gallon. If after 3 months, they don't voluntarily lower prices to $2.50, fine them another $20,000,000 each, monthly instead of every three months. Keep lowering the gas cap and raising the fine on "Big Oil" another $10,000,000 monthly until the price gets down to $1.75 per gallon.

2. What becomes of the billions of dollars from the fines? Give it to those that deserve it most. The gasoline and diesel fuel consumers, in the form of a gas cap refund. If the government keeps it, they will waste it on some entitlement program.

3. You get your gas cap refund quarterly by filing a gas cap refund request. The more gas or diesel fuel you use, the bigger the refund you get.

4. We must get the legislation passed for this gas cap refund before the politicians break for the summer. Those that vote against the bill we will assume they are receiving bribes from big oil and we will fire them by impeachment.

5. We have the power to do this just as we defeated the DuBai ports deal and the amnisty program.
