With the arrival of warmer weather, PennDot’s traffic line painting operations will soon be in full swing.
Paint crews will be working from early morning to late evening to restore over thousands of miles of traffic lines along state highways in Blair and surrounding counties.
The line painting is scheduled to begin in the middle of the month and continue into the fall.
Motorists should not pass line painting equipment without being waived on by a member of the crew of a flag person. Passing a line painting truck at the wrong time can result in paint being splashed onto vehicles.
The overall cost of line painting operations last year in the PennDot district that includes Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset Counties was over $2 million.
