At last night’s Hollidaysburg Borough Council meeting John Little was named to the position that has been vacant since the resignation earlier this year of Diane Meling.

For the past 13 years Little has been the Executive Director of the Central Blair Recreation and Park Commission and now he steps into a job that opened up after the former manager called it quits in January citing “deteriorating working conditions”.

Hollidaysburg Mayor Joe Dodson tells WRTA News that shouldn’t be a problem this time around. Dodson says that Little being a Hollidaysburg resident was an important factor in the decision and he's looking forward to woking with the new manager.

Little says his his first priority will to be get everone working together on the same page.

Little, who says he will miss the people he’s been associated with over the years at Park and Rec will begin his Borough Manager responsibilities on July 23rd.
