A group of local advocates held a rally yesterday at Congressman Bill Shuster’s Hollidaysburg office. Upwards of 75 people marched outside of the office.

Organizer Jody Wallace with “Indivisible Blair County” says the group was peacefully walking up and down the sidewalk, holding signs of protest and being very loud, when a number of members were asked to come inside the office in small groups to meet with members of Shuster’s staff. “We were at least able to talk to a human being,” said Wallace.

Wallace says that Indivisible Blair County has united to stand against President Donald Trump and his current administration’s policies. Meera Bajwa, one of Indivisible Blair County’s representatives, joined WRTA’s Two Way Radio on Wednesday to discuss the outcome of the rally and explain exactly what the group stands for.
